Packet lengths = 1000 bytes. 4 Proposed Receiver Assistance MAC Protocol The results of Section 3 indicate that there are many RTS packets that can arrive correctly at the R1 of the disadvantage link. To exploit this result, we propose a simple receiver assisted feature. The proposed protocol, called RcvAssist in the paper, can significantly improve the degree of fairness.
